Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Lume ("Lume", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Lume editor, website, and related services (the "Service").

1. Information we collect

• Account information. When you sign up with an email and password, or through Google or GitHub sign-in, we receive your email address. For Google and GitHub sign-in we request only your verified email address — we do not access your files, repositories, contacts, or other account data.
• Usage data. To operate billing and quotas we record metadata about model requests you make (timestamp, model used, token counts, and cost). We do not require your source code to provide the Service, and code you send to a model is processed to return a result, not retained for training by us.
• Edit history for undo. When the agent changes a file, the editor saves the file's content before and after the change to our servers, so the change can still be undone after a reinstall. These copies are compressed and deleted after 30 days, or earlier when you delete the conversation, undo the change, or turn on Privacy Mode.
• Feedback and synced settings. If you rate an answer and add a comment, we store the comment with the rating. When you are signed in, the editor shows your MCP servers, rules, commands and skills in your account on the website: their names and settings, the first characters of each rule and the rule's location on your computer. The arguments, environment variables and full addresses of MCP servers, where access keys usually live, are left out. Rules, commands and skills you write on the website are kept in full until the editor picks them up.
• Error reports. When the editor hits an error, it sends us a report so we can fix it: the error message, where in the editor's code it happened, and the version. Reports carry no account or email address, but an error message can quote a file path or a piece of text the editor was handling. Privacy Mode does not change these reports.
• Technical data. Standard server logs (IP address, request time) needed to run and secure the Service.

2. How we use your information

• To create and manage your account and authenticate you.
• To meter usage, apply quotas, and process billing.
• To operate, secure, and improve the Service.
• To contact you about your account, security, or service changes.

3. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with infrastructure and model providers strictly as needed to run the Service (for example, to fulfill a model request you initiate), and where required by law.

4. Data retention and security

We keep account and usage data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. We use industry-standard measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure, but we work to protect your information.

5. Privacy Mode

Privacy Mode is a setting of your account, off by default; switch it in your account on the website (Account → Privacy Mode). While it is on, the editor's edit history for undo is not stored on our servers, feedback comments are dropped (the rating itself is kept), and synced rules keep only their names and settings. Turning it on deletes what we already stored of these. Rules, commands and skills you write on the website are still kept until the editor picks them up, and error reports from the editor are not affected (see section 1). Undoing an agent change then works only on the computer that made it, from the copy the editor keeps there. Token counts and costs are still recorded, because billing depends on them; they contain no code.

6. Your choices

You can access your account in your account settings and delete it there (Account → Danger Zone), or by contacting us. Deleting your account cancels any subscription immediately, without a refund, and removes your profile, synced settings, usage records and saved payment cards. We keep only the records of past payments that we are required to retain by law.
