Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 21, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Lume ("Lume", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Lume editor, website, and related services (the "Service").
1. Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign up with an email and password, or through Google or GitHub sign-in, we receive your email address. For Google and GitHub sign-in we request only your verified email address — we do not access your files, repositories, contacts, or other account data.
- Usage data. To operate billing and quotas we record metadata about model requests you make (timestamp, model used, token counts, and cost). We do not require your source code to provide the Service, and code you send to a model is processed to return a result, not retained for training by us.
- Technical data. Standard server logs (IP address, request time) needed to run and secure the Service.
2. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and authenticate you.
- To meter usage, apply quotas, and process billing.
- To operate, secure, and improve the Service.
- To contact you about your account, security, or service changes.
3. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with infrastructure and model providers strictly as needed to run the Service (for example, to fulfill a model request you initiate), and where required by law.
4. Data retention and security
We keep account and usage data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. We use industry-standard measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure, but we work to protect your information.
5. Your choices
You can access or delete your account from your account settings, or by contacting us. Deleting your account removes your profile and associated usage records, subject to legal retention requirements.
